Chris began his accounting career in 1975 with Mr Dave Dawson in Home Hill. During that time Chris learnt many principles from Mr. Dawson who had a great deal of experience in accounting. On the retirement of his peer, Chris ventured into his own business and commenced his own firm in 1994.

Chris became a fellow member of the society of CPA’s after many years of serving as a CPA.

Chris’s qualifications and experience enable him to provide advice on income tax, business & estate planning and superannuation. He now runs the Townsville office and is senior partner in the firm, overseeing the operation of all three offices.

Chris was a member of the Home Hill Rotary club for many years prior to his move to Townsville. He has enjoyed playing many sports over the years and has only just retired from motor  bike (quad) racing. He now enjoys the safer sport of fishing and regularly follows his three sons in their sporting pursuits.

Peter McKaig

Peter joined Chris Land when the firm was established in April 1994. Peter joined Chris in partnership in July 2000. Also in 2000, Peter commenced his studies towards attaining his Certified Financial Planning qualification and completed this in August 2002. Peter’s dual qualification of CPA & CFP enables him to provide a holistic service for his clients whether it is income tax, business planning, superannuation, succession planning, wealth creation or wealth protection. Peter is located in our Home Hill office and is married with 2 children. Peter’s interests now involve following his children’s sporting and cultural activities and fishing.

John Licciardello

John is the youngest member of the firm, joining Chris and Peter in 2005 after working for Land McKaig for the previous 7 years. John completed his studies externally while working full time; this enabled him to gain valuable experience which he puts into practice for his clients.

His diverse client base benefits from his knowledge and personal advice in all aspects of taxation, superannuation, investments and wealth protection.

John is active in both participation and administration of the local soccer and cricket associations (as well as attempting to improve his golf game). John is happily married with one son.
